Challenge/Problem

SEEK Asia approached us with the goal of boosting organic search rankings for their five most-visited landing pages across four countries (JobStreet Singapore, JobStreet Malaysia, JobStreet Philippines, and jobsDB Hong Kong), and promoting their job portal brands, without providing any information beyond editorial guidelines. SEEK Asia also needed a way to help users navigate to other relevant pages.

My Role & Process

Working as content writer on the project, I took the initiative to design a content creation process for the team, covering wireframes, client liaison, and project management, before writing the optimised web content itself.

Solution

As content writer on the project, I built a wireframe and writing template that streamlined the team's process, maintained content consistency, and saved time across five landing pages in four countries.

Communicated with clients throughout the project through emails, face-to-face meetings, and phone calls.

Adopted the Agile project management approach by creating a Trello board to enable the team to effectively organise and prioritise their projects.

Proposed to clients a detailed outline in a straightforward and understandable manner, staying focused and specific in the rough draft.

Translated SEO briefs and keyword goals into engaging web copy, incorporating target keywords throughout content and suggested headers, and adding internal links that helped both users navigate the site easily and signaled to search engines which pages should rank for hiring managers and recruiters searching for hiring solutions.

Produced content aligned with SEEK's core brand tone of voice, fulfilling their editorial guidelines, and localised content across all four countries.

Results and Outcome

SEEK Asia approved the content for publication across their newly built pages, live, search-optimised content built specifically to support their goal of stronger organic rankings among hiring managers and recruiters, and their broader online reputation across four countries.
